Now before you shout 'unfair!' and decide to trade your PS4 for an Xbox One because you think that a 1GB space for Skyrim mods is too small, Bethesda explained that the game will not allow PS4 mods that will use external assets, such as textures made by fans, unlike the Xbox One. Why PS4 has a lower space for Skyrim mods than the Xbox One?
The mod size differences between the two consoles continued with Fallout 4 wherein the action-survival RPG offers 900MB mods space for PS4 and a 2GB mods space for the Xbox One. In a FAQ released by Bethesda, they clarified that Skyrim Special Edition mods content is specifically limited to 1 GB space for the PS4 and 5GB for the Xbox One. And now, fans of the action RPG can expect the game to be more immersive with its enhanced graphics and mod support with the Special Edition. For those living under a rock, Bethesda's Skyrim was first released 5 years ago and it has already been through 3 DLCs and a Legendary Edition where it compiles all the Skyrim game contents into one.
